Transformation of the Angel grounds is taking place as part of a staged programme, co-coordinated and designed by Page Wagner. After receiving planning permission, The Courtyard, originally a tarmaced parking area, is replaced by innovative planting for all year round interest. A new gateway and gates are planned in the near future. On the meadow grassed area leading to the river, new bulb planting, hedge and fruit trees are providing additional sources of nectar as well as a source of fruit for the hotel kitchens.

The Angel Hotel in Pershore is an old 16th century coaching inn, once stayed in by Elizabeth 1st. Used as a stopping point for travellers between London and Holyhead, it has been an important hotel both in the past and the present. The Angel is the main hotel in Pershore on the High Street. Taken over in 2008 by Darren Eden, changes both inside the hotel and outside in the grounds are transforming the life and character of this important venue, which is used for hotel guests, fine cuisine, weddings, business functions and public festivals. It plays an important part in the famous Plum Festival which is centred on Pershore.
